Brand Configuration
Before you can measure your AI visibility, TrioSens needs to know which brands to look for. When you run a report, TrioSens extracts mentions of the brands you’ve configured — your own brand, competitors, or any others you want to track and compare.
Tracked brands vs. brand groups
Section titled “Tracked brands vs. brand groups”There are two ways to organize the brands you monitor:
Tracked brands are individual companies or products you want to monitor. This typically includes your own brand plus your direct competitors. Each tracked brand appears separately in your reports with its own visibility, sentiment, and citation metrics.
Brand groups organize related brands into competitive sets. This lets you compare performance at the group level or zoom into individual brands. For example, separate ‘Direct Competitors’ from ‘Indirect Competitors’ to track share of voice within each segment.

Section titled “Creating a brand group”-
Switch to the Brand Groups tab
In the Brand Configuration modal, select the Brand Groups tab.
-
Create a new group
Click to create a new group and give it a descriptive name — for example, “Direct Competitors” or “Enterprise Tools.”
-
Add brands to the group
Select which tracked brands belong in this group. You can add the same brand to multiple groups.
Start by tracking your own brand plus 3–5 direct competitors. You can always add more later as you identify new brands appearing in AI responses.
Brand groups are great for organizing competitive sets. Group enterprise competitors separately from SMB competitors to compare share of voice within each segment.
